My Sweet Girl

The other day, while in the supermarket Dorothy decided she needed to talk to my huge belly. Sitting in the cart she opened one of the buttons on my coat, saying “Open buttons mom.” I of course did as she asked (it was hot in the store anyway!) So she leans over, next to my belly and “whispers” something!
Haha, it was the sweetest thing I have ever seen! And when she was done, she told me to button up my coat.
It left me with a wonderful positive feeling that I so rarely get these days. Sometimes the best way to feel better is to let life’s positive experiences fill you up enough to get through the negative ones. That is a hard thing to remember on a daily bases, but I try to everyday. And now there is one more sweet memory to pull up when life feels overwhelming.

I always hated when my kids whispered secrets to each other that they wouldn’t let me in on.
