Winter Wonderment, Still

The other day Dorothy exclaimed “Its snowing!” with so much enthusiasm that I had to laugh. Its the middle of march, there is several feet of snow on the ground. Just before she excitedly announced the snow I had thought, “ugh not more snow, when will winter end??!” with more then a bit of frustration.

On the way to preschool we talked about how the snow was fluffy. Her word. She has the ability to be so descriptive now. She was excited by the snow still which is kind of sweet. Back in December when the first snow fell it was exciting for all of us, and she has maintained that sensation of excitement and  enthusiasm for the falling snow. Its a good reminder. But still I really want spring to arrive and warm us up.
